25 Apr PROJECT: Acrylic wedding invitations
For a lot of people, their wedding will be one of the most important days of their life. One of the most crucial elements of the process is the invitation – after all, it sets the tone and vibe for the upcoming ceremony. When it came time for creative director and designer Tamara Scheiwe to tie the knot, it made sense that she would be the person to design the perfect RSVP for her own special day. So she had a beautiful invite conceptualised, but how was she going to take it from the screen to real life without losing impact? That’s where we come in.
Tamara approached us to bring her design to life, enlisting our skills to create a tangible recreation of her detailed plan. The invitations were designed to grab attention, so we made sure to use materials that were eye-catching and aligned with Tamara’s vision. One of the easiest ways to stand out in the wedding invitation field is to stray from the paper path and use something a little more unusual. For this project we used 2mm clear acrylic and white ink printing, but we employed a reverse printing technique for a nice and shiny front. The bride-to-be was thrilled with the result, and we think you can see why – look at these beauties!
