12 Mar PROJECT: Loverboy – Paul & Nat engagement box and custom playing cards
Proposing to someone is a pretty huge deal – after all (and theoretically if it goes well), it’s something you only get to do once in your life. It makes sense that people want to pull out all of the stops when it comes to the big day, but we have come across one budding groom who truly took it to the next level … and we helped him do it.
Paul approached our friends at map creative with a truly unique proposal idea, seeking help to execute a personal concept that incorporated his and his budding wife Nat’s mutual love of games. The objective was to make a personalised game that would completely surprise Nat and sweep her off her feet, convincing her to say yes. The actual game included two custom packs of cards, one reading YES and the other NO with the engagement ring in the centre.
When it came to the technical aspect, map creative produced a brandmark, custom playing cards and user experience, while ColourChiefs managed all areas of production including box designs. Our super-skilled team incorporated elements of creative design and fabrication, wood, laser etching, laser cutting, die-cutting and digital printing to achieve the result. And guess what? It worked an absolute treat – Paul and Nat are now engaged and Paul has gained some serious street cred for his ultra-impressive proposal.
